The Travis Rocco Band returns to Keuka College for a performance Friday, Nov. 9.

The concert, free and open to the public, begins at 9 p.m. in the Davis Hall TV lounge.

Formed in 2004, the Travis Rocco Band features Utica natives Travis Rocco (lead singer), Tom Kline (drummer), Steve Daniels (saxophone), Shamus Clancey (acoustic, slide and electric guitars, mandolin and banjo) and Dom Fisher (bassist).

The band mixes original tunes with cover tunes, including hip-hop from Sugar Hill Gang and Snoop Dogg. The band has released three CDs, including First Things Last, on which it collaborated with Grammy winners Ron Allaire and Mark Wilder.

The band was nominated for a Yahoo! Internet Life Music Award for Best Unsigned Artist, won second place in Universal Music Group’s “Inside Sessions” songwriting contest, and its song, Walking Again, was featured in the independent film Out of the Black. 

Regulars at the Knitting Factory, the Bitter End and Lion’s Den in New York City, and the Grape Street Pub in Philadelphia, the Travis Rocco Band has also appeared at the Spiediefest in Binghamton, and headlined at NASCAR’s Kansas City Midwest Thunderfest.
