Longtime Board Member, FLCC CEO to Receive Honorary Degrees

Marcia Dugan, Barbara Risser to be honored at mid-year conferral of degrees
A mainstay of the Keuka College Board of Trustees for nearly 15 years and the president of Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) will receive honorary degrees at Keuka’s mid-year conferral of degrees Sunday, Dec. 13.
Marcia B. Dugan, a member of Keuka’s governing board since 1994, save for one year, and Barbara G. Risser, who has served as president of FLCC since 2007,will receive honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degrees at the ceremony, which begins at 1 p.m. in the

She has received several awards and distinctions, including the OCC Trustees Award, National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Excellence Award, and the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
The Canandaigua resident holds a doctorate in higher education management from the
Dugan was first elected to Keuka’s governing board in 1994 and served nine years. She was re-elected in 2004, and again in 2007.
A 1953 graduate of
