Here’s a terrific New Year’s resolution: become a volunteer or sponsor for the 13^thCelebrate Service… Celebrate Yates, Yates County's community service day.

Next spring, on April 11, citizens will once again join together to make a positive difference in the community and help non-profit organizations, agencies, and citizens. Tasks often include painting, cleaning, building, and repairing.

The event is planned by volunteers from Keuka College and the Yates County Chamber of Commerce, with support from other local organizations, merchants, businesses and citizens.

Volunteers receive commemorative t-shirts; lunch, transportation, tools and supplies to complete the tasks are provided.

Sponsorships make the day possible. Last year’s contributors were Esperanza Mansion, Finger Lakes Health, Fitzgerald Brothers, Graphic Connections, Knapp & Schlappi Lumber, Keuka College Student Senate, K-Ventures, Sodexo, Stork Insurance, Yates County ARC, and Yates County Chamber of Commerce.
