Nicole Mang selected Experiential Learner of the Month
Nicole Mang, a resident of
Keuka, the national leader in experiential, hands-on learning, established the program to honor high school students whose commitment to experiential, hands-on learning has made a difference in their communities.
Mang will receive a partial academic fellowship to Keuka and qualify for the Experiential Learner of the Year Award, which carries a full academic fellowship to the College.

“Nicole is an outstanding individual who is more accomplished than any student with whom I’ve had the pleasure of working,” said Cintron. “She has consistently taken a rigorous class schedule, including honors and college-level courses, and has earned a 95-plus average and a rank in the top 10 percent of her class.”

Mang is involved in many service-related clubs including the Leo Club, Ecology Club, HELP (Having Empowered Leaders as Peers) Club, and Life Lessons Club. Through her participation in these organizations, she participated in Homeless Sleep Outs to raise money for the less fortunate, worked with seventh graders at the Lancaster Youth Bureau’s Health and Wellness Days, collected items for troops in Iraq, collected pull tabs to benefit Hunter’s Hope Foundation, and participated in the Pennies for Patients Leukemia Drive, among others.
An active member of her community, Mang donates her time and talents to the Lancaster Recreation Department, Depew Night Out, Relay for Life,
The Experiential Learner of the Month Award-winner is featured on television stations throughout central, western, and northern
The participating stations include WTVH, Channel 5, Syracuse (CBS); WHAM, Channel 13, Rochester (ABC); WKBW, Channel 7, Buffalo (ABC); WWNY, Channel 7, Watertown (CBS); and WBNG, Channel 12, Binghamton (CBS).
