How Food Gets to the Table

Award-winning documentary "American Harvest" will be screened Oct. 9
American Harvest, an award-winning documentary film about farm workers and immigration, will be screened Thursday, Oct. 9 at 4 p.m. in Jephson 104.
Part of Hispanic Heritage Month activities and sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs, it is free and open to the public. A discussion, featuring Producer/Director Angelo Mancuso and Mark James, executive director of the Finger Lakes New York Farm Bureau, will follow the film.
The film features candid interviews with illegal and legal migrants and farmers, and examines the effect
Don Lipton, director of public relations for the American Farm Bureau, said the film “should be seen by everyone who has thought even only briefly about pending immigration legislation, as well as how food gets from farm fields to dinner tables.”
The film received an honorable mention award at the Buffalo Niagara Film Festival.
