Linda Jackson will discuss her recent trip at next Community Luncheon
Linda Jackson, a member of the Keuka College Community Associates Board, will discuss her recent trip to Cambodia at the next Community Luncheon Series presentation Thursday, Oct. 16.
It begins at noon in the Gannett Room of Lightner Library.
In addition to Cambodia, Jackson has traveled to Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, China, and Europe. While in Cambodia, Jackson toured the stilt village of Kampong Phluk, a cluster of three villages of stilted houses built within the floodplain of the Tonle Sap. She also visited Angkor Wat, named a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)World Heritage Site in 1992.

The highlight of the trip, according to Jackson, was “experiencing a way of life so far from anything we have ever imagined.”
In addition to serving on the Community Associates Board, Jackson has served as chairman of the Yates County Genealogical and Historical Society, and as 4-H leader and judge at the Yates County Fair. The former owner of Century 21 Four Seasons Real Estate, Jackson lives in Penn Yan with her husband, Peter. The couple has four children; Idelle Dillon, Teresa Jackson, Aaron Jackson, and Cheryl Carruth.
Tickets are $10.50 in advance ($11 at the door), $2.50 of which goes to the Penn Yan Keuka Club Scholarship Fund. The fund provides an annual scholarship to a local student attending
