Sweet 16 for SIFE

Keuka turns in sterling performance in Windy City
Keuka finished among the top 16 teams at the Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) USA National Exposition held last week in Chicago, Ill.
More than 140 teams participated and more than 4,000 people attended the event, including leading business executives who judged the competition. The teams presented the results of their outreach projects to determine which made the most impact on their communities.
Keuka advanced to the semifinals after a strong performance in the opening round. The semifinals featured four leagues of five teams each.
“We won third runner-up in League 4, so in effect we made it into the top 16 teams in the country,” said Neil Siebenhar, assistant professor of management, SIFE team adviser and Sam Walton Fellow. “We were delighted to make the semifinal round. Beyond this, the competition is incredible.”
Keuka advanced to the National Exposition after winning its regional competition for the sixth time in the past seven years.
