Hall of Fame to Induct Talented Trio

The Late Vanessa Morgan, Julie Deboover Peacock, and Harold Gray will be Enshrined During Family Weekend
The leading scorer in Keuka College women’s basketball, the No. 1 goal scorer in women’s soccer history, plus a former administrator/coach, will be inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame Saturday, Sept. 22.

One of the highlights of Family Weekend, the ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Weed Physical Arts Center, home to the Hall of Fa,e. A reception will follow.
Members of the Class of ’07 include:
· The late Vanessa Morgan (above, left), who would have graduated in 1991. She set some women’s basketball records that will be hard to topple. Morgan finished her career with 1,726 points and 1,197 rebounds, No. 1 in both categories. She was also No. 1 in field goals made with 698 and No. 3 in free throws made with 330. A top-notch defender as well, Morgan was credited with 190 steals, tied for fifth place all-time. Her life was cut short in an automobile accident in 1991.
· Julie Deboover Peacock, a 1988 graduate. She played soccer and basketball for three years and ended her soccer career with 44 goals, No. 1 on Keuka’s all-time list, and 104 points, tied for the top spot. She also chipped in 16 assists, which ranked No. 9 in Keuka annals. She captained the team in 1988 and in 1986 was selected Most Valuable Offensive Player of the Binghamton Tournament. Peacock earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing and works in the
· Harold Gray, who served as assistant to the president, vice president for student affairs, and vice president for public affairs during a 17-year tenure (1970-1987) at Keuka. As vice president for student affairs, he was responsible for the intercollegiate athletics program, including the introduction of men’s teams in the 1980s. Gray coached women’s basketball from 1973-1982 and was assistant coach from 1986-1991. In 1978, he directed Keuka to a 65-64 win over host
Each member of the Hall of Fame will be showcased on a plaque, featuring his/her athletic accomplishments at Keuka. The newcomers will join the original class inducted a year ago: Hollis Liddiard, a 1937 graduate; Madeline Ross (1978); Christine AmEnde (1983); Shawn Reed (1989); and Hans Stelmach (1994).
